1. Prong Setting

 It is called prong setting because of using a long, thin claw to hold the diamond, usually three, four or six claws. Among them, six claws is the most stable and a lot of people would like to choose this kind. The setting brings out the beauty of the diamond and makes it easy to observe the cut, color and clarity of the gemstone. For larger gemstone, prong settings are used for solidity.
